I'm so excited to share this incredible day I had with Sean & Kara at the Hall Barns, and Prestwold Hall. It was an overcast, drizzly day in May when I drove over to Loughborough, not optimal conditions for shooting a wedding BUT given the ample light we had at the Hall Barns and neighbouring Prestwold Hall, it didn't really matter. Yet another reason why having a venue that's as beautiful inside as it is out, is so important. No rainy day panic!

We started over at the Hall Barns, shooting some portraits in the sheltered courtyard which had been beautifully styled by The Two Hummingbirds (supplier list below) before we took shelter inside the Prestwold Hall rooms to capture some gorgeous solo portraits.

Couple portraits at the Orangery in Prestwold Hall

Once we were finished with solo portraits, I LOVE doing these by window light for added drama, we moved downstairs to make use of the gorgeous orangery at Prestwold Hall. Not many venues have one of these, so it was amazing to create some jungle vibe shots. The formal ballroom was also great to get a totally different look. It just goes to show, if you pick the right kinda venue, even on a dreary day you can get some incredible images by letting the outside in.
