At the heart of my work, is the relationships I build with my couples.
Never underestimate the relationship you have with your photographer. It really is the driving force behind incredible photos. Why? It turns a service transaction into a relationship. You know who I am before I rock up to photograph you in your jammies as you get ready. I've already got your Nan following me on Instagram after she saw your engagement photos. There's no awkwardness between us which means there's no awkwardness in the photos. Just pure joy and fun. So let's have a natter, a dance and a chat. Tell me about your life, and I'll tell you about mine. I want to know YOU.
HOW DOES IT ALL WORK?
So you've looked through my portfolio, you've read through this page and you're thinking - you know what Grace is just our cuppa tea. Amazing! Let's get chatting about your plans. Fill out my form via the 'Book Me' page and tell me all about you! I'll send you over a full pricing guide so you can pick the collection that's perfect for you.
Once you've decided on the collection that best fits your day, drop me an email via email@example.com and let me know. I'll get in touch to organise a Zoom call so we can get to know each other and chat about your wedding day. If at this point, we're getting all the good feels, I'll send you a formal quote over!
When you have reviewed the quote, just click accept and you'll be taken to an invoice, contract and booking questionnaire. Don't worry if you're in the early stages of planning, this just helps me get a few more details and find out more about where you're at. This will just be things like your numbers (in case you ever want to text me), your venue and ceremony plans etc.
Once everything is all signed, I'll send you over a couple's guide. This has lots of tips and tricks on how to prepare for your wedding (from a photography perspective), engagement shoot outfit inspo and lighting advice. I'll also set us up a private WhatsApp group so we can chat about your wedding and you can get in touch at any time.
Got a question?
Do you travel for weddings?
I do indeedy! I'm more than happy to travel up to 100 miles from Worcester (about 2 hours away). If you're a bit further than that, just let me know. I can always say at the purple palace (premiere inn) for the night!
How do we get our images?
I deliver all of your images in an online gallery. You can download your images from there, for socials and print, or share the gallery with anyone you choose through a secure link. You can also order high quality prints through there.
Can you make me thinner? Do you do any retouching?
I have a general two-week rule. This means anything that's been on or part of your body for less than two weeks, I'll remove. A pesky spot, a scar from grabbing a boiling saucepan. That kinda thing! If there's something specific you're conscious of, just let me know and we can chat about it on the QT.
Do you do any 'smile at the camera' poses?
Yes. During family portraits in particular, I tend to keep it pretty traditional with the stand and smile at the camera stance. There's usually a more traditional pose I include during couple portraits too as that's usually the one relatives want on their mantle. Other than that though, I go for a much more candid and romantic look (i.e. look at each other and not at me).
When do we get our images?
Usually, within 4 weeks of your wedding day. If I'm ridiculously swamped though, I'll be sure to let you know. I'm a big advocate for communication, so my couples always know where I'm up to with my editing. You will receive sneak peeks within 48 hours of your wedding though, so that will keep you going until the main event is ready!
How soon should we book you?
Pretty much as soon as you've booked your venue. I always suggest to book earlier than you think when it comes to photography. I do sometimes have last minute slots available but if you're going for a Saturday wedding in the Summer, those bookings fill up very quickly!
What if you're ill on our wedding day?
I'd have to be very ill. Like, in a hospital bed ill. That said, these things do happen so I have a back up plan in place. I will make a decision within 48 hours of your wedding (where possible) if I'm too poorly to attend. If this is the case, I have a small group of photographers I know and trust who I would ask to associate shoot for me. This means they'll take the pictures, I'll edit them in my signature style. If they're all booked up, I have a emergency forum I'm part of where I can select a photographer who can attend in my place. I'll do my best to share their websites etc with you before deciding. If that all fails (highly unlikely), I'll refund you all monies.
Can we have the RAW images/ unedited images?
No, I don't provide these. A huge part of my job is to curate a gallery for you which tells your story in a beautiful way. You really don't want to see the blurred, blinking or just generally crap photos off my cutting room floor. Trust me, trust the process. I'll never cull an image for the sake of it. You'll receive every image I deem to be of good quality, I have no upper limit on my galleries.
